There are many other ways that I can use surveys in education:

- As a form of assessment - to collect thoughts and opinions about a certain topic, whether it's something the students don't know or have already learned i.e. "How are multiplication and division related?"

- To gather feedback on things such as assignments or tests that I, as a teacher, can use to modify for next time

- To vote on things such as activities or lessons that the class would like to focus on i.e. "Would you prefer to work in groups or to work alone?"

- To encourage discussion amongst the class i.e. "What do you think about the form of government that we have today and why?"

Surverys are an easy and effective way to assess and to gain a general understanding of your students, and why not use technology to further your skills and to save paper?
